We’ve had some feedback suggesting the current image upload workflow is a frustrating friction point during property inspections, and we agree.

The current process is too frustrating:

1. Open the phone’s native camera app to take pictures.
2. Switch to the RentGalah web app.
3. Upload images from the gallery.
4. Switch back to the camera to move to the next room.

This “app-switching” is painful to deal with, especially when you are in a rush. To solve this, we are building the camera functionality directly into the app.

The New Workflow

We are replacing the image selector icon with a (+) icon next to the message input. Clicking this will reveal two options:

• Gallery: To upload existing photos.
• Camera: To capture multiple images in succession and submit them as a single group without leaving the app.

Hopefully this will be an improvement. If you see issues or areas for improvement then let us know.

We have made a start on developing this feature and hope to have it live within a week.
