Landing Page Update — Mission, FAQs, and a Fresher Look

Pushed some meaningful updates to this site this week that I’ve been wanting to get done for a while.

The biggest thing was clarity. A few people who’d looked at the site came back with the same kind of feedback — they weren’t quite sure what RentGalah actually was, with some walking away thinking it was just another platform for ranting. That’s a problem worth fixing. So the core of this update was addressing that head-on.

The subheader got a rewrite. It now reads:

“Think Domain meets Reddit. The structured home for property intelligence. Join a community of renters, owners, and neighbours sharing persistent, unbiased insights to turn uncertainty into insight.”

Simple, but it immediately sets the tone and frames the idea better than what was there before.

There’s now a dedicated Mission page. It covers the why behind RentGalah — the information gap in renting, what that actually costs people, and how a shared, property-tied knowledge base changes that. It’s not a fluff piece; it lays out the problem honestly and explains what we’re trying to build. Worth a read if you’ve ever wondered what this is really about.

A Commonly Asked Questions section is now live too. Things like:

  • Is this just another rental review site? (No — and there’s a real answer for why)
  • Who contributes, and how?
  • What happens to your privacy?
  • Will it stay free?

These were questions that kept coming up, and having a proper place to answer them takes some of the ambiguity out of the first impression. If you feel like something’s still left unanswered, drop a comment.

On top of all that, the overall design has been tidied up — better visual flow, cleaner styling throughout. Nothing dramatic, but it feels more like a real product now.
